Carnivals & Tournaments
Throughout the year, teams may have the opportunity to participate in a range of local, regional, and interstate carnivals and tournaments. These events provide valuable development opportunities for players, help build team culture and camaraderie, and create enjoyable social experiences for families.
Participation in tournaments will be communicated by your coach or team manager. Some tournaments are compulsory for certain teams and divisions, while others are optional and entered at the discretion of the coach in consultation with players, parents, and the Junior Program Manager.
For interstate tournaments, early commitment is essential to allow families time to arrange travel and accommodation. Travelling teams must have a minimum of 8 players and be accompanied by a club-appointed coach. Players are required to wear the full Eastern Mavericks playing uniform, including the reversible singlet.
Tournament registration fees are the responsibility of the team, these can come at cost of between $60-$100 per player depending on the registration fee. Additional costs such as travel, accommodation, and any coach travel assistance contributions are also to be covered by participating players/teams.
