Friday Night Development Sessions – Participation Waiver

By registering for the Eastern Mavericks Friday Night Development Sessions, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

• I understand that basketball is a physical sport and participation involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury.

• I confirm that the participant is medically fit to take part in these sessions. Any relevant medical conditions, injuries or allergies have been disclosed to Eastern Mavericks prior to participation.

• I understand that participation is voluntary and is undertaken at my own risk.

• I release and indemnify the Eastern Mavericks Basketball Club, its committee members, coaches, volunteers, venue providers and affiliated organisations from liability for any injury, loss or damage sustained while participating, except where caused by negligence.

• I acknowledge that qualified coaches and volunteers will provide instruction and reasonable supervision; however, participants are expected to follow all directions, behave respectfully and participate safely at all times.

• I understand that Eastern Mavericks reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate, without entitlement to a refund.

• I consent to first aid being administered if required and, where necessary, for emergency medical treatment to be sought if I or my emergency contact cannot be reached.

• I understand that photographs and video may be taken during the sessions and may be used by Eastern Mavericks for promotional, marketing and social media purposes unless I have advised the club otherwise in writing.

• I acknowledge that registration fees are non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law or at the discretion of Eastern Mavericks.

• I have read, understood and agree to these conditions on behalf of myself and/or the participant I am registering.
