Player Awards Information
Each junior team may present up to three end-of-season awards.
Coaches may select two awards from the approved club categories, including:
- Most Improved Player
- Player’s Player
- Most Valuable Player (MVP)
- Best Defensive Player
- Best Team Player
- Sportsmanship Award
- Most Consistent Player
The third award is automatically the 3Ds Award, recognising a player who best demonstrates the club values of:
· Dedication: Staying focused, committed, and giving your best both on and off the court.
· Determination: Showing strong purpose and effort to improve and achieve your goals.
· Discipline: Consistently working hard, following training routines, and performing under pressure.
· Team Values: Working together, supporting teammates, and putting the team before individual rewards.
Award decisions should consider:
- season-long behaviour and contribution at both trainings and games
- teamwork, attitude, leadership, and sportsmanship
- player development and commitment throughout the season
Eligibility requirements:
- Players who miss more than 30% of scheduled team trainings (excluding approved long-distance travel arrangements) may be ineligible
- Players who receive behavioural technical fouls throughout the season may be ineligible for end-of-season awards
Final award decisions are made by the coaching staff, with oversight from Basketball Operations to ensure consistency with club values and policy.
